EZIO BOSSO

Split, Postcards from Far Away for piano and strings

Music of Italian composer, conductor and pianist Ezio Bosso, a recipient of a number of prestigious awards, is admired in various theatres and appreciated by contemporary dance companies, is featured in films by Gaby Dellal and Gabriele Salvatores.  Bosso’s oeuvre is very diverse: in addition to the above-mentioned music for theatre, film and dance companies, he wrote 4 operas, 5 symphonies, and many vocal and instrumental opuses. The composer moulded his unique voice by intertwining elements of diverse genres and forms. It is said that if we would try to visualise Bosso’s life and work as one of his works, it would be Split, Postcards from Far Away (The Tea Room) from his album “The 12th Room”. In twelve songs featured in the album, the composer created different music rooms, associating them with emotions and life experiences: painful, bright, complex, hopeful, dark, memorable, longing.

Split, Postcards from Far Away, performed by the composer Bosso together with the Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra, conducted by maestro Sergej Krylov, reveals full range of feelings.
