ONUTĖ GRAŽINYTĖ

On the occasion of the 85th birthday of Estonian composer Arvo Pärt, one of the most famous classical music record companies “Accentus Music” has released pianist Onutė Gražinytė’s debut album Arvo Pärt: Lamentate. The Lithuanian National Philharmonic Digital Hall offers the pianist’s video recording of Pärt’s works for piano solo: Für Alina, Für Anna Maria, Variationen zur Gesundung von Arinuschka and Pari intervallo. Together with cellist Edward King she also has recorded Fratres and Spiegel im Spiegel, both considered to be Pärt’s most popular works. A pleasant surprise of the recording is the composition Vater Unser sung by O. Gražinytė.
