ARVO PÄRT – Fratres for violin, string orchestra and percussion

The violinist Sergej Krylov, the artistic director of the Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra, is playing Arvo Pärt’s “Fratres”. Composed in 1977 “Fratres” is performed in different arrangements for example version for strings and percussion, cello and piano, arrangement for eight cellos or eights winds and percussion, string quartet. Sergej Krylov is a winner of the first prize in the Stradivari Competition in Cremona and the prestigious International Fritz Kreisler Violin Competition in Vienna, Krylov collaborates with the Vienna, St Petersburg, NHK Tokyo, Czech and Hamburg philharmonic orchestras, Milan’s Giuseppe Verdi, Parma’s Filharmonica Toscanini and the English Chamber Orchestra, Salzburg’s Camerata Academica, and other orchestras.
