The Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra and Kaunas State Choir present a stunning programme with young talented conductor Martynas Stakionis on a podium.
The ambassadors of Lithuanian music – the Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra, pianist Mūza Rubackytė and conductor Robertas Šervenikas – present programme of classical masterpieces (Mozart’s Piano Concerto No 23 in A major, KV 488 and Chopin’s Piano Concerto No 1, Op 11) and works by contemporary Lithuanian and French composers.
The opening concert of the festival presents Mūza Rubackytė, the Lithuanian piano Maestra, and Renato Balsadonna, an Italian Maestro of the baton and conductor at the Royal Opera House in London. The programme Salutary Love features three romantic masterpieces narrating about one of the noblest feelings.
Works on stage tonight are conducted by Adrija Čepaitė, a Lithuanian conductor of younger generation pursuing a manifold creative career.
The Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra starts up its new concert season on their home stage and together with its artistic director and violinist Sergej Krylov offer a versatile and enriching programme.
Traditionally, the Lithuanian National Philharmonic Society opens every new concert season with a symphonic music concert.
